My Purpose
Feeling unwell, being in pain, emotionally and physically, or caring for others going through illness can be a very lonely, frightening and daunting experience. Searching for answers and solutions can feel like having another full time job. I understand as I’ve been there. The only thing that kept me going in the darkest of moments was that one day I’d be well again, I would study herbal medicine and help others going through similar.
As a child I felt deeply connected to the nature around me but didn’t understand why or how to use it. My interest in health and people led me to study Psychology at Edinburgh University before completing my Masters in Occupational Therapy at Queen Margaret University. My career has mostly been in NHS mental health services. Herbal medicine not only changed my own health it changed my life. It blew open my beliefs and opened doors to what it is to heal. Becoming a medical herbalist whilst also raising a young family has been a dream come true.
I am passionate about all things healing – my choice of bedtime reading is research papers and Materia medica books. Whether you are looking for a scientific approach to tackling your health issues or a broad look at your life through a spiritual lens, I am here for it and will help in any way that I can. Whether your issue is simple or acute, complex or chronic, whether you are on lots of medication or none, herbal medicine may be just what you’re looking for.

Medicine tailored to you
Tinctures
Tinctures use a solvent, usually alcohol, to extract plant constituents and deliver them in a highly absorbable form. They’re usually taken in small amounts, diluted in a little water. They are quick and easy to use, so great for busy lifestyles or for people who prefer not to take capsules or teas. Each tincture blend is formulated specifically for your needs, combining herbs that work together.
Capsules
Capsules provide herbs in powdered form and are a convenient, taste-free way to take plant medicine. They’re great if you prefer not to use alcohol-based tinctures or don’t enjoy the flavour of certain herbs. Capsules allow for consistent dosing and can be tailored with single herbs or bespoke combinations to suit your treatment plan.
Teas
Herbal teas (infusions or decoctions) offer a gentle, nourishing way to work with medicinal plants. They can be soothing, warming, grounding…and sometimes surprisingly powerful. Your tea blend is created just for you and may include leaves, flowers, seeds, or roots depending on your needs.
External Preparations
External treatments can be truly supportive for all sorts of conditions affecting the skin, muscles, breathing and localised areas of discomfort. This is where we can get creative with bespoke creams, steams, balms, gorgeous foot and bath soaks.
Lifestyle
I can work with you to consider you as a whole person, your environment and the activities that are meaningful to you and use occupational therapy tools and strategies to empower you to live in alignment with your values, health needs, and life aspirations.
Dietary
Dietary support is always gentle, realistic, and tailored to your needs. We might look at how certain foods influence energy levels, digestion, inflammation, mood, or sleep, and explore easy changes that align with your lifestyle and goals.
